A Day in East Africa
Each Trip to East Africa Includes multiple 3-Day Teachings
All of our work is done through relationship with community influencers, usually apostolic leaders in the region. The core of our work is to train these key leaders by providing a syllabus/training manual which is a valuable resource.
Working with native networks of leaders, HWIM provides the majority of the funds for the 3-day seminar. We often rent a school or use a church building. We've also been known to set up a tent or even use a big tree! Rick generally teaches 6 hours a day. We also provide 2 meals a day plus tea time. For the leaders who come from outside the area, we provide lodging. We try to create an environment where the pastors and leaders can focus on the Truths with no distractions.
A Day of a 3-Day Teaching Session includes:
- Breakfast
- Worship time
- 2 morning teaching sessions
- Lunch
- Afternoon teaching session
- afternoon tea (customary here)
- Final teaching session
- Prayer time
Rick often then has dinner with the host pastor and organizing committee. This usually turns into a time of Q&A and prayer.
